Suchen Sie das perfekte Baby? Hier wird Ihr Wunsch erfüllt! In einer Fabrik werden Kinder nach Maß gefertigt.
Die Videoproduktion Birthmark nutzt Stop-Motion-Animation und Claymation-Techniken, um Szenen aus einer Fabrik darzustellen, in der Kinder produziert werden. Die Fabrik dient als Metapher für das unersättliche Verlangen der Menschheit nach Perfektion und Prestige.
Dieses Werk hebt das extreme Verlangen nach dem "perfekten Kind" hervor, das als vorzeigbares und prestigeträchtiges Objekt angesehen wird, oft in sozialen Medien und im echten Leben präsentiert. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf dem Aussehen—darauf, was schön aussieht und präsentiert werden kann—während der Wert und die Persönlichkeit des Individuums dabei kaum eine Rolle zu spielen scheinen.
Meine Arbeit untersucht die Fließbandproduktion von Babys, die wie Artikel in einem Online-Shop bestellt und angepasst werden.

Synopsis
Are you looking for the perfect baby? Here, your wish will be fulfilled! In a factory, children are made to measure.
The video work Birthmark utilizes Stop Motion Animation and Claymation techniques to depict scenes from a factory where children are produced. The factory serves as a metaphor for humanity's insatiable desire for perfection and prestige.
This work highlights the extreme desire for the "perfect child" as a presentable and prestigious object, often showcased in social media and real life. The emphasis is placed on appearances—what looks pretty and can be presented—while the value and personality of the individual seem to matter little.
My work explores the assembly line production of babies, ordered and customized like items in an online shop.

Das zurückgezogene Leben der alleinstehenden Monika gerät aus dem Takt, als sie, ohne es zu merken, den Lieferanten Bruno in ihrer Wohnung einschließt. Zunächst unfreiwillig gefangen, arrangiert sich der unbemerkte Mitbewohner allmählich mit seiner unbequemen Situation...
Ein sympathischer, humorvoller Puppentrickfilm, der Slapstick-Elemente mit schwarzem Humor vereint. Statt Dialogen nutzt der Film korrespondierende Alltagsgeräusche der beiden Figuren als Ersatz für die nicht stattfindende Kommunikation.

Synopsis
The secluded life of single Monika is thrown off balance when she accidentally locks deliveryman Bruno in her apartment. Initially trapped against his will, the unnoticed roommate gradually comes to terms with his uncomfortable situation…
A charming, humorous stop-motion film that combines slapstick elements with dark humor. Instead of dialogue, the film uses corresponding everyday sounds of the two characters as a substitute for the communication that does not take place.

Drei Gebäude im ehemaligen Jugoslawien sind die Protagonisten dieser Geschichte über Krieg, Zerstörung, kollektive Identität und kulturelles Erbe. Three buildings in former Yugoslavia are the protagonists in this story of war, destruction, collective identity and cultural heritage. These three buildings in Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina are examples of three different ways societies deal with the structural remnants of an armed conflict.
How are the new nation-states dealing with their heritage? What can these practices say about their collective culture of remembrance? How do the structures tell the legacy and building of new nation states, and how do architectural structure and social narrative influence each other?

Our collaborative project HFG 24 was officially released today, August 6, 2014—around ten months after its premiere at the Beyond Festival and approximately eight months after its successful launch as a VHS cassette including 3D glasses—under a Creative Commons license on YouTube.
