- Auf nach Afrika" ist ein Animationsfilm, der 2015 von Elenya Bannert produziert wurde. Der Film wurde im Rahmen des "Wanderschaft"-Filmprogramms der Hochschule für Gestaltung (HfG) Karlsruhe in mehreren Kinos deutschlandweit gezeigt. Bannert zeichnet sich durch einen erfrischend puristischen Stil aus, der ihre Prosa visuell umsetzt und den Fokus auf den Zauber des entschleunigten Augenblicks legt.

- »All We Know We Know from Light« ist eine Dokumentation über wissenschaftliche Forschung und die Schönheit abstrakten Denkens. Der Film beschäftigt sich mit dem Thema des wissenschaftlichen Wissens, das durch optische Mittel gewonnen wird; das heißt, durch Beobachtungen und die Analyse von Bildern. Die astrophysikalische Forschung basiert auf der Erkundung visueller und akustischer Phänomene. Elektromagnetische Strahlung ermöglicht es uns, Informationen über die Zusammensetzung von Objekten zu sammeln, die Milliarden Lichtjahre von der Erde entfernt sind. Astrophysiker arbeiten an der Verfeinerung technischer Instrumente, um präzise Bilder von noch unbekannten Objekten zu erstellen, was die angewandten Bildtechniken zu konstitutiven Werkzeugen macht, die gleichzeitig ihr Forschungsobjekt erkunden und erfahrbar machen. Dabei basieren sie auf Konventionen der Wahrnehmung und Praktikabilität. - »All We Know We Know from Light« is a documentary about scientific research and the beauty of abstract thought. The film engages with the subject of scientific knowledge gained by optical means; that is, through observations and through the analysis of images. Astrophysical research is based on the exploration of visual and acoustic phenomena. Electromagnetic radiation allows us to gather information on the composition of objects that are billions of light years away from the Earth. Astrophysicists work on the refinement of technical instruments to create precise images of as yet unknown objects, which turns the applied imaging techniques into constitutive tools that simultaneously explore and make their research object experienceable. In doing so, they are based on conventions of perception and practicability. The film offers insights into the way data is collected on the most abstract natural phenomena and how knowledge is thereby generated.

Synopsis
Der Kurzfilm spielt in einer düsteren Zukunft: Die Menschheit ist am Ende, die Verdammten schleppen ihre sterbenden Körper an die Meere, weil sie sich dort Heilung erhoffen. Die Strände sind zu Friedhöfen geworden. Androiden werden für den Untergang der Menschheit verantwortlich gemacht und Jäger werden ausgesandt, um diese zu zerstören. An einem der Friedhofsstrände kommt es zwischen einer Jägerin und einem Totengräber zum Kampf um einen Androidenjungen.
«Am Strand – Die Nackten und die Verdammten» wurde an der Staatlichen Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe produziert und lief auf diversen Festivals in Deutschland & Südamerika.

Our collaborative project HFG 24 was officially released today, August 6, 2014—around ten months after its premiere at the Beyond Festival and approximately eight months after its successful launch as a VHS cassette including 3D glasses—under a Creative Commons license on YouTube.
To watch the film in 3D on YouTube, you’ll need red-cyan glasses or other specialized hardware. However, the 3D effect can also be disabled in the settings.
