Die fremde Frau – Winterreise nach Flossenbürg erzählt von einer Familie über vier Generationen aus Flossenbürg, einem Dorf in der Oberpfalz in Bayern.
In ruhigen Beobachtungen zeichnet der Film die Lebenswelt der Bewohner des Orts und das Zusammenleben der Hausfrau und Mutter Kerstin und ihrer Tochter Lena. Die Vergangenheit und der Umgang mit ihr verweisen auf die Zukunft.
Der Film erzählt von Manie und Depression, von Empathie und Gehorsam, von Ehe, Einsamkeit und der Liebe.
The strange woman - Winter journey to Flossenbürg is a documentary about a family of four generations in Flossenbürg, a village in the Upper Palatinate in Bavaria.
The film shows in quiet observations the lives of the village residents and the coexistence of housewife and mother Kerstin and her daughter Lena. The past and dealing with it point to the future.
The film tells the story of mania and depression, empathy and obedience, of marriage, loneliness and love.

THE STRANGE WOMAN – WINTER JOURNEY TO FLOSSENBÜRG tells the story of a family spanning four generations in Flossenbürg, a village in the Upper Palatinate region of Bavaria.
Through quiet observations, the film portrays the everyday lives of the village residents and the relationship between housewife and mother Kerstin and her daughter Lena. The way the past is confronted and processed points toward the future.
