- With "Shifting Shadows", the exploration turns towards light. Individual elements can be rotated manually or through a sensor-based mechanism, changing their relationship to the incoming light and creating varying reflections and shadows. As their position shifts, so does the visual atmosphere of the surrounding space, revealing how patterns can become active elements in shaping light.

1. Einscannen der Lederstücke
2. Digitalisieren mit ID und Flächeninhalt
3. Vorauswahl in 6er Gruppen und Analyse
4. "Shrink Wrap" - Generieren des Bezugs mit der "Shrink Wrap" Methode
5. Erstellen der finalen Schnittmuster

- Medien-Beschreibung (en)
- This animation shows the main algorithm, which generates a cover using a 3D object and scanned leather scraps, that can be exported as sewing patterns for final production. The process involves several key decisions: pre-selecting leather pieces that match the object's surface curvature, determining their optimal positioning, and making the final selection of the individual parts that will form the cover.
The process in steps (from left to right):
1. Scanning the leather
2. Digitizing the scans
3. Pre-selecting pieces in batches of six & analyzing them
4. Generating the cover using a "Shrink Wrap" method
5. Unwrap to final sewing pattern
