| Extensive Description | - „It’s okay now“ ist eine autofiktionale Medienkunst-Diplomarbeit – ein gemeinsames Werk von Gloria Müller und Isabelle Konrad, das tief mit ihren Erinnerungen, Herkünften und Identitäten verwoben ist. Im Zentrum steht die Praxis des Erinnerns – als Reflexion, als Traum, als Versuch, das Vergangene zu fassen.
Durch fiktionale Szenen, dokumentarisches Material und persönliche Archive entsteht eine Erzählform, die zwischen Realität und Fiktion oszilliert. Der Körper wird dabei zum Träger von Erinnerungen, zum Medium der Inszenierung.
Wie sehr ist das eigene Selbstbild von Erzählungen geprägt?
Wie verändert sich Erinnerung durch Wiederholung und künstlerische Bearbeitung?
Isabelle und Gloria verstehen sich in diesem Projekt nicht nur als Regisseurin/Szenografin oder Autorin, sondern als Vermittlerin eines fragmentierten Selbst. Die Autofiktion erlaubt es ihnen, Nähe und Distanz zugleich zu erzeugen – sie macht ihr Erleben verhandelbar.
Ein Teil der Arbeit ist eine interaktive Performance in Form einer Teezeremonie. Besucher*innen sind eingeladen, Erinnerungen niederzuschreiben, weiterzugeben und Teil einer Assoziationskette zu werden. Währenddessen wird Tee im Samowar zubereitet – ein rituelles Innehalten, ein Teilen von Wärme und Erinnerung.
„It’s okay now“ ist ein Moment der Selbstverortung. Eine künstlerische, emotionale und körperliche Konfrontation mit dem, was war – und mit dem, was davon bleibt, wenn es erzählt wird.

| Extensive Description (en) | - “It’s okay now” is an autofictional media art diploma project – a collaborative work by Gloria Müller and Isabelle Konrad, deeply interwoven with their memories, origins, and identities. At its core lies the practice of remembering – as reflection, as dream, as an attempt to grasp the past.
Through fictional scenes, documentary material, and personal archives, a narrative form emerges that oscillates between reality and fiction. The body becomes a vessel of memory, a medium of staging.
How much is our self-image shaped by the stories we tell?
How does memory change through repetition and artistic transformation?
In this project, Isabelle and Gloria do not position themselves merely as director/scenographer or writer, but as mediators of a fragmented self. Autofiction allows them to create both intimacy and distance – making their experience open to negotiation.
Part of the work is an interactive performance in the form of a tea ceremony. Visitors are invited to write down memories, share them, and become part of a chain of associations. Meanwhile, tea is prepared in a samovar – a ritual pause, a sharing of warmth and memory.
“It’s okay now” is a moment of self-location. An artistic, emotional, and physical confrontation with what once was – and with what remains when it is told.
