- Description of media
- Description of media (en)
- The "Pattern Archive" documents the different patterns developed during the first experimental phase of the project. Starting from two-dimensional patterns, the surfaces were transformed through cutting, folding, bending, layering, and interlocking. The resulting studies explore different ways of opening, manipulating, and transforming a static surface into a spatial structure.

- Description of media
- Description of media (en)
- This experiment explores how movement can continuously transform an existing pattern. Two connected elements shift against one another, constantly changing their overlap and, in turn, the pattern that emerges.

- Description of media
- Description of media (en)
- This animation shows the main algorithm, which generates a cover using a 3D object and scanned leather scraps, that can be exported as sewing patterns for final production. The process involves several key decisions: pre-selecting leather pieces that match the object's surface curvature, determining their optimal positioning, and making the final selection of the individual parts that will form the cover.
The process in steps (from left to right):
1. Scanning the leather
2. Digitizing the scans
3. Pre-selecting pieces in batches of six & analyzing them
4. Generating the cover using a "Shrink Wrap" method
5. Unwrap to final sewing pattern

- Description of media
- Description of media (en)
- The photos show the diploma exhibition: it leads from a thematic introduction to the connection between materials, technology, and the resulting leather waste, through interactive stations where you can engage with the algorithms, to the final outcome: the leather objects automatically generated by the main algorithm.
